If you're reading this you're probably a lake person too, and you've got powerful memories of being at the lake: summers learning to water ski, sleep-away camp, cliff jumping, being at the cabin, the smell of the shady coves and bays, the lazy days melting into warm evenings, and fall after the crowds leave. For me, there's something about the lake that's like nowhere else. I slow down, I generally let go. And when I leave, I take a little of that feeling with me.
Our Story
Our first map was of Lake Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, and we made it for ourselves. It was a hit, so we made more.

Mary is a lover of travel, music, hiking, cooking, and lakes. She founded Lakebound in 2007 and thanks to great customers and talented staff, has grown it into the company it is today. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband, son and two cats.

Kimi is a lover of books, nature, gardening, and animals. Her superpower is her ability to talk to almost anyone and she loves for people to feel heard and understood. Her ultimate dream of giving back is to one day foster old dogs. Kimi currently lives in Portland, OR with her son, husband, two cats, and four fish.

ACCOUNTANT
As a "dyed in the wool" New Englander, Melissa loves all the majesty the Pacific Northwest has to offer. The trees are bigger, the mountains taller! Still, memories of summering on Loon Pond in New Hampshire remain. With 26 years experience in accounting, she has found her groove in E-Commerce and loves helping Lakebound find new ways to streamline and grow.

Kathy began her career in Los Angeles over 15 years ago but dreamt of skipping puddles and sleepy trees so she packed her bags and kissed the bright sky goodbye. When not designing you can find her dancing, drawing and playing Legos with her son Oskar.
